Provenance: property of the artist (descendants of the artist). He studied at the Beaux-Arts in Paris and attended the Académie Julian. During World War I, he served as a musician and stretcher-bearer and participated in the Battle of Verdun in 1916. He actually created several portraits of his fellow soldiers (some of which are for sale). He is known for his portraits, having often depicted his family in his works as well as people from the theater.
He is a member of the Winter Salon. Some of his compositions draw inspiration from Chardin.
