Paul FLAUBERT, a passionate painter of animated scenes featuring characters of all kinds, hunting scenes, and various landscapes, including urban, rural, and lakeside settings. His painting style is clearly influenced by the Impressionist and Neo-Impressionist (pointillist) movements, which are evident throughout his work and in which he excelled throughout his career. The simultaneous use of both styles—one characterized by a multitude of brushstrokes in the execution of the "background" of his works and the other in a "smooth" style to better highlight the characters or subjects he wanted to emphasize—attests to this.
