French artist, active in the 20th century, in the South of France, near Antibes. Critics have long noticed this artist who regularly exhibits in Paris, at the Salon des Indépendants and Automne, and in various galleries. In 1930, in an exhibition at the Galerie Henry, Marcel Rendu paints children with real meaning picturesque. (Source Benezit) This painting is probably a production of this period.

He was born in Paris in 1882 and died in 1961. Oil on wood, very clean, look at the photos, it's a charming subject, very original with many details like this cactus placed near the window. Wooden frame in 33x39.5cm format. The board alone: 27x34.5cm. Signed M RENDU, lower right.
