Maurice Vagh-Weinmann was a Hungarian painter, engraver, illustrator, and lithographer, born on August 20, 1899, in Budapest. He painted in an expressionist style and was part of the first School of Paris. A member of a family of ten children, Maurice pursued a career as a painter, like two of his brothers.

Maurice painted in Paris with his brothers Nandor and Elemer. Upon arriving in France, he changed his first name from Mihaly to Maurice. He painted with a bold touch and clear colors in a lighter tone than his two brothers.

His works often refer to Hungarian themes, landscapes, and peasants in traditional dress. He was the uncle of painter André Vagh-Weinmann, born in 1925. His grandson, Alain Vagh, born in 1948, is a talented ceramist. Very Beautiful Painting 1964 Oil on Canvas Maurice Vagh-Weinmann Child Portrait.
