Undergrowth, François Dumoulin (agen 1865 Biarritz 1917)

  
I'm offering you an interesting painting by a southwestern artist, Francois dumoulin. Born in Agen in 1865, he died in Biarritz in 1917; he mainly painted the Basque country. And especially watercolours (his canvases are rather rare). This is a hilly undergrowth overlooking a river that draws through the branches of the trees.

Oil on canvas 35 cm by 46 cm. In very good condition (without restoration or retouching), but which would require a lightening of the varnish in order to find fresher colors; sold in its original frame, made of wood.
