Hello, I am selling this painting which measures 27 cm in height and 41 cm in width. It is a beautiful oil on canvas, signed at the bottom left by G. MARAIS, dated 1906, and located in Plessis-Bouchard (in Val d'Oise, Île-de-France). It depicts a countryside landscape bathed in a milky light, pierced by a small area of blue in the upper left, leaning towards gray or white, almost hesitant. The lush and dense vegetation in the foreground gives it an intimate dimension, pleasantly contrasted by the expanse of the field of vision.

Despite slight signs of wear here and there, some surface crackling, which is not serious and is a sign of authentic painting, a few very discreet paint losses, and a well-done repair in the foliage of the tree on the right, the overall composition is in very good condition. It has benefited from a uniform varnish, providing protection and beautiful, soft satin reflections. The tension of the canvas is excellent. The photos were taken on a sunny afternoon, in a very well-lit room. The second and third photos are the most faithful to the actual color rendering. However, please note that computer or mobile phone screens other than mine, depending on their brightness and contrast, can alter the results I have achieved.

With these elements in mind, you can still consider these two shots as sufficiently representative of reality, under conditions similar to those described earlier. Attention collectors, vintage item enthusiasts, curiosity seekers, decoration lovers, or simply those who admire intrinsic beauty!

This is an excellent gift idea. For it to be taken into account, it is imperative, if the box is damaged, sufficiently (it is up to you to determine this upon inspection) at any point, and/or opened, even partially, that you ask the delivery person to indicate reservations, if it is a shipment with the Post, or that you refuse the package at the pickup point staff, if it is a shipment to a pickup point, UNLESS, you must ask them, you have the possibility to note reservations with the scan device of the shipping receipts - then you can receive the package - before they scan the shipping receipt or perform any other operation to confirm that you have indeed received the package; in other words, ask them to carefully check the condition of the box, not omitting any area, in these two scenarios before they act. Regarding delivery to a pickup point, in case your refusal to accept is formulated, the package will be kept by the pickup point to be returned to the expertise service, for verification aimed at reporting the responsibility of the delivery people and making the insurance effective (elements gathered from their site) in case the item is damaged. Regarding the Post, if delivery takes place in your mailbox because the dimensions of the package allow it, without personal handover, and the box is sufficiently damaged (a nuance that you must determine), you will have to take it back to the nearest postal point without opening it, asking the counter staff to return the package to me (elements collected on their site), again in anticipation of a verification by the delivery service, UNLESS, as in the case of delivery to a pickup point, the postal office staff can indicate reservations.

In all cases, do not hesitate to take photos of the damaged and/or opened box. You may think, for any reason, that the item inside the box remains in perfect condition, despite the damaged, sufficiently (it is up to you to determine this upon inspection), and/or opened box, even partially, and thus that you do not request to make reservations, or that you accept the package if making reservations is not possible; but know that this is akin to playing Russian roulette since the delivery services rely on the factor of error, which incidentally suits them well since, I repeat, the insurance is then no longer effective due to damage as a result of the sacred transfer of responsibility from the delivery person to the sender or recipient; consequently, less expense for them since they will not have to pay the amount of the insurance!

And do not count on a "shake" of the package to determine if the item is broken; unless it is glass or ceramic, the sound of breakage is imperceptible, or it may be a protective element in the package. Be sure to communicate all these elements in case it is a third party who collects the package on your behalf. If, on the other hand, the condition of the returned item is different from what it was when I sent it, but there is no proof to determine that the delivery people are responsible, then there will be no refund, for the reason that even with excellent packaging it can happen that not only the shocks during transport are extremely significant, but that this occurs without external damage, that is to say, on the box.

Things that may not have happened during the initial shipment, and that might have been avoided if the buyer had collected the package and thus prevented a second transport, theoretically involving twice the risks for the item. A personal handover is entirely possible if you make the trip. If you have questions or would like more photos, feel free to let me know. PS: I have other paintings on my profile.
