Small oil painting old xixe "the big tree at dusk". Superb little old oil, 19th century period, representing a green landscape at sunset. Two women take advantage of the last rays of the sun to complete their work in the fields, one cow by their side as well as two cottages and a bell tower in the background. The most characteristic of this painting is the presence of this majestic tree which is in fact the protagonist of this composition.

It stands out on a beautiful sky embraced by the light of dusk. It is signed at the bottom left, the signature is difficult to decipher, perhaps doll? It is true that one of the privileged themes of anton doll is the bucolic landscape. Maybe it's a youthful opening. At the back of the painting twice it is written in doll's pencil but I do not know if one can rely on this indication.

Some scratches and dirt, but the pictorial layer is stable. Painting on fruit wood panel, probably walnut.

This oil is found in its very heavy, xixe period frame, which suffered some damage (see photos) especially in the left corner which is to be restored. (repair kits are sold in DIY stores to restore the missing mouldings in a cost-effective and very satisfactory manner).

This frame seems to have been redone but there are still golden parts to the leaf. Total dimensions 33x39.5 visual paint 21x15 cm. Take a good look at the photos and the comment before you bid.
