Provenance: property of the artist (descendant of the artist). He studied at the Beaux-Arts in Paris and attended the Julian Academy. During the First World War, he was a musician-stretcher bearer and participated in the battle of Verdun in 1916. He also made several portraits of his soldier comrades (some of which are for sale). He is known for his portraits, he often portrayed his family in his works as well as people from the theater. He is a member of the Winter Salon. Some of his compositions are inspired by Chardin.
