
Coming from Pas-de-Calais, Prosper Gresy was appointed estate inspector in Arles. He adopted the motifs of the Barbizon school.
He exhibited for the first time in Marseille in 1836 and took part in the Provençal Salons until 1861. He was featured at the Paris Salon from 1837 to 1867.
