Pair of Paintings - The Markets - Italy - Naples - A. Two superb works on the theme of the market by the painter Antonio MIGLIARDI. A Neapolitan painter born in 1913 and died in 1985. These two oil paintings on hardboard do not resemble his other subjects. They are sold as a pair because they are inseparable.
One depicts an outdoor market, the other an urban market in a square in Naples. Note the presence mainly of women in clothing such as young Antonio must have seen in his childhood. The colors are those of dawn, as the market begins with the sun barely risen.
The two works are signed on the front and on the back with the title. These two paintings are sold without the frames, which are too small for the works. But this allows you to see how much they can be enhanced by a larger, more beautiful frame.
