Painter and draftsman, a student of Albéric Dupuy at the School of Fine Arts in Bordeaux. In Paris, he studied under Jean-Paul Laurens and Benjamin Constant. His first exhibition was at the Salon of 1895, two years before he became a regular exhibitor at the Salon des Artistes Français.

He worked for French and English illustrated newspapers and magazines: "The Graphic," "London News," "Fémina," "Je sais tout," "L'Illustration"....

THE PAINTING: After the Battle. Size: 29 x 19.8 cm. A few marks/stains (including drops of gold paint). Probably an illustration project for a book. Hand delivery possible in Paris 9th arrondissement.
