This still life features a warm composition of pears and peaches arranged on a dark table. The artist plays with volumes and shades of green, red, and ochre to create an intimate and classical atmosphere. The soft light particularly highlights the velvety textures of the fruit and the depth of the colors. What is interesting about this still life is that the fruit is depicted larger than life. Note: one or two worm holes in the wood, with no incident.
