Hello, I am selling this painting that is 46 cm high and 55 cm wide. The painting depicts a countryside landscape, bathed in the sublime colors of a sunset, with a beautifully proportioned tree revealing glimpses here and there, making it even more precious and desirable.
Two fishermen are engaged in their activity, likely enjoying the exceptional poetic spectacle. Despite some signs of wear here and there, such as minor cracks, small marks, small stains, signs of restoration, and the visible edge of the frame on the right—though these remain quite discreet and do not detract from the beauty of the landscape (when viewed from the front, this is visible as in the third photo and not as in the second, and may be less noticeable depending on the configuration of the room where it is placed)—the painting is generally in good condition. It appears to have been varnished with a satin-type liquid varnish, providing protection and beautiful reflections without excess. It should be noted that the restoration on the foliage of the tree is only truly visible up close, within less than a meter distance (since the painting is of medium size, it is best appreciated from several meters away), whether in terms of its texture or its color, which is not perfectly identical to the surrounding foliage, or with an artificial light source located directly above the painting; a relatively improbable scenario. The entirety of the restorations can be discerned if the painting is viewed from the side, as they present differences in texture and reflections, but again, these angles of observation are unlikely for appreciating the composition and its poetry that leaves a lasting impression.
The tension of the canvas is excellent. The photos were taken on a sunny afternoon in a very well-lit room. After numerous tests, I realized that the color rendering in the second and third photos, using my equipment, is the one that most faithfully represents what can be observed under similar conditions, regardless of distance.
However, please note that computer or mobile phone screens other than mine, and depending on their brightness and contrast, may alter the results I have achieved to varying degrees. With these elements in mind, you can nonetheless consider my photos as sufficiently representative of reality, under observation conditions similar to those described earlier. A note to collectors, those attracted to vintage items, curiosities, decorative objects, or simply admirers of their intrinsic beauty! It makes for an excellent gift idea. Shipping will be done seriously, unless you prefer a handover, which is entirely possible if you make the trip. In order for this to be taken into account, it is imperative that if the box is damaged sufficiently (it is up to you to determine this upon inspection) at any location, and/or opened, even partially, you ask the delivery person to indicate reservations, if it is a shipment via postal service, or that you refuse the package from the staff at the pickup point, if it is a shipment to a pickup point, UNLESS, and you will need to ask them, you have the option to note reservations with the scanning device for the shipping receipt—only then will you be able to receive the package—before they scan the shipping receipt or perform any other operation confirming that you have indeed picked up the package; in other words, ask to carefully check the condition of the box, not omitting any area, in both scenarios before they act. Regarding delivery to a pickup point, if your refusal to accept is made, the package will be held by the pickup point to be returned to the expert service for verification aimed at reporting the responsibility of the delivery personnel and making the insurance effective (elements gathered from their site) in case the item is damaged. Regarding postal service, if delivery is made to your mailbox because the dimensions of the package allow it, without a handover, and the box is sufficiently damaged (a nuance that you must determine), you must return it to the nearest post office without opening it, asking the counter staff to return the package to me (elements collected from their site), again in anticipation of verification by the delivery service, UNLESS, as with the case of delivery to a pickup point, the postal office staff can indicate reservations. In any case, do not hesitate to take photos of the damaged and/or opened box. You may think, for any reason, that the item inside the box remains in perfect condition, despite the damaged package, sufficiently (it is up to you to determine this upon inspection), and/or opened, even partially, and therefore that you do not wish to make reservations, or that you accept the package if making reservations is not possible; but be aware that this is like playing Russian roulette since delivery services rely on human error, which suits them well because, I repeat, the insurance is then no longer effective due to the sacred transfer of responsibility from the delivery person to the sender or recipient; thus, less expense for them as they will not have to pay the insurance amount! And do not count on "shaking" the package to determine if the item is broken; unless it is glass or ceramic, the sound of breakage is imperceptible, or it could be a protective element inside the package. Be sure to communicate all these elements in case a third party is picking up the package on your behalf. However, if the condition of the returned item differs from what it was when I sent it, but there is no evidence to determine that the delivery personnel are responsible, then there will be no refund, for the reason that even with excellent packaging, it can happen that not only are the shocks during transport extremely significant, but also that this occurs without any external damage, that is to say, on the box. Things that may not have happened during the initial shipment, and that might have been avoided if the buyer had picked up the package, thus preventing a second transport, theoretically involving twice the risks for the item. If you have any questions or would like more photos, please feel free to let me know.
