Magnificent and ancient Oil on Canvas by Musumeci Giuseppe - 1930/1940. "Fishermen with a view of Castel dell'Ovo". Everything is perfectly detailed, from the fishermen, boats, sailboats, to the background with the "Castel dell'Ovo" which is the oldest castle in Naples, with Naples hidden behind the mist.

Sold with its original frame, see photos. Artist's signature at the bottom right, possibly dated but difficult to see. The painting measures 30 x 24 cm. The frame measures 37.5 x 31.5 cm. Giuseppe Musumeci (1902 - 1986).

A landscape painter from the Neapolitan school and a worthy descendant of the Posillipini artists from the late 19th century. The work comes with its original frame from that time.
