Beautiful 19th-century oil painting on wood, in very good condition for its age, especially considering that it is unvarnished. It depicts a seascape, most likely in Brittany. The work is dated February 20, 1847. The artist painted it on an old door dating from around the 18th century, probably a cupboard door. Please see the photos for dimensions and condition.
