Oil on panel H 31.5 L. 23 cm without the frame.

Signature at the bottom right. Some chips on the panel and the frame. After the studio of Cogniez and Jules Laurens, he won the Prix de Rome in 1857. He painted in the forest of Compiègne and in the Roman countryside.
