Biography: Grégoire michonze is a French painter of Romanian origin, born in Kichinev (Bessarabia) in 1902 and died in Paris in 1982. Grégoire michonze is the eldest of five children, born in Bessarabia at the time when it was annexed by Russia.He was one of the Jewish painters: his mother was from a family of rabbis, his father ran a fabric business. He studied fine arts in kichinev, and for the work of icons was introduced to the technique of egg painting.
