Expressionist Painting (oil on wood panel), dating from around the 1960s and unsigned. It is a portrait of a woman in profile. She is wearing a black garment and a large headdress on her head, indicating that she is Breton. The artwork has no signature, but still exudes a real power.
The brush is lightly loaded, giving a very light touch to the composition, and the color palette is also limited. This is just a personal interpretation, so it only reflects my opinion, but I seem to find in this work something that navigates a bit between Van Gogh and Gauguin but with obviously a much stronger expressionist force.
Dimensions: - 61 cm / 50.5 cm. 70 cm / 59 cm (frame). Please note: the painting is in good condition!
I just want to point out tiny scratches on the frame that are simply anecdotal and do not in any way affect the quality and readability of the artwork. I am available if you have any questions. More photos available on request. I'm able to understand English and to communicate in English.
