He begins his studies at the Beaux-Arts in Montpellier and then enters the Decorative Arts in Nice. In 1949, he is admitted to the Beaux-Arts in Paris and joins Edouard Goerg's workshop. In 1954, he becomes a scholarship holder at the Maison Descartes. In 1956, he becomes a resident at the Casa de Velasquez.
A prolific artist, he has created many paintings and engravings.
