He began his studies at the Beaux-Arts in Montpellier and then entered the Decorative Arts in Nice. In 1949, he was admitted to the Beaux-Arts in Paris and joined Edouard Goerg's studio.
In 1954, he became a scholar at the Maison Descartes. In 1956, he became a resident at the Casa de Velasquez. A prolific artist, he created a great number of paintings and engravings.
