He began his studies at the Fine Arts in Montpellier and then entered the Decorative Arts in Nice. In 1949, he was admitted to the Fine Arts in Paris and joined Edouard Goerg's studio.
In 1954, he became a scholar at the Maison Descartes. In 1956, he became a resident at the Casa de Velasquez.
A prolific artist, he created a great many paintings and engravings.
