Born in 1968 in Lvov, Ukraine. He completed his studies in 1985 at the Lvov School of Art where he specialized in the restoration of Antique Art. After serving in the Army, he began working in this field which would influence his career as a painter. He immigrated to Israel in 1991 and worked in the graphic arts department of the Visual Art College in Beer Sheva.

After experimenting with different styles, Boris began to develop his "Naïf" style with influences from the German schools of the 16th and 17th centuries of Peter Brueghel.

Coming from the Soviet Union without humor and individuality, Boris preferred humor, irony, and simplicity in life.

His portraits are whimsical; the colors are often earth tones, symbolizing the descent into the everyday world. He paints events such as the story of Noah, the Ark, Jonah, and the whale as if they were suspended in the atmosphere, actors and viewers of their own story. Often in his paintings, boats painted with very specific stones from Jerusalem or the wall symbolize a certain spirituality floating in the air.

You will not be indifferent to his Art and the naivety that can emerge from it while getting to the essence of Ashkenazi Jewish religion, as if these scenes, often floating, were a part of a dream and at the same time a very real part of life.

You can only be captivated by this unusual yet endearing painting.
