(work attributable or to bring closer to charles-françois daubigny). Here is a beautiful painting, oil on wooden panel, depicting a bucolic sunset on a beautiful landscape where winds a river. On the left, in front of the trees, we can see cows grazing accompanied by a third personage.

Note that the varnish has darkened, in fact I think that we "lose" details in the darkest parts, like cows and the character in the shade of trees. A cleaning would be certainly welcome to fully enjoy the beauty of the work.

It does not seem to be signed but the lower part is so dark that it may be possible. The frame with keys, of beautiful workmanship, is in a relatively satisfactory state, formerly gilded with the sheet it was later 'smeared with paint which it will be always possible to strip; a small break at its lower edge (see photo) will also ask to remove the panel to pick up this part. This painting is in very good condition and does not seem to present restoration; just to report a small rub in the sky, top left (see photo on this). Look at the pictures above.
