(1905 - hungary / 1990 Paris-France). Oil on panel of isorel, 46 cm x 38 cm, signed lower right s. Abrys, and certainly representing Montmartre in Paris. Note slight small gaps (traces of a previous frame). Painting in good original condition that must date from the 50s.

This superb expressionist work, rich in material, was made by Leon Schwartz-Abrys who signed his paintings s abys. This painter born in hungary 1905 died in france 1990 and was interned at the hospital of saint anne during the second world war which saved his life! (25 listed works) but also in the dictionary of painters of Montmartre (he had a workshop at 11 rue nicolet montmartre) even if he is more of the menilmontant painters.
