Landscape, oil painting on wood panel. Louis Rollet, French painter of the school of painters travelers of the early twentieth.

A pupil of Charles de Fouqueray, he won the Madagascar Prize in 1929. He won the Indochina Prize in 1930. He travels to Africa, Asia, Polynesia, Japan, Madagascar and France.

He will be a professor in the fine arts of tananarive. Becomes director of the Cambodian Fine Arts School of phnom pen.

He was made Knight of the Legion of Honor in 1938. At the end of his life he bought a house in Indre-Loire where he continued to paint and teach. The painting is signed louis rollet bottom left, undated, the frame is original. Dimensions: painting 41 x 27 cm.
